A year ago, I was asked to take photos at the very first Pride Parade in my hometown, Koszalin, and obviously, I could not refuse. The importance of such events is tremendous, especially in small towns in countries like Poland. People are able to leave the house as themselves, knowing that this society is there to support them. Although there was an incident caused by someone driven by hate, the crowd just kept walking and singing. What is really beautiful is the hope perceptible in the whole crowd. These people hope for a better future and all they wish for is just a bit of tolerance to make their life easier. And, using the camera, I can capture the brightness of these moments. That is why I enjoy taking part in events like this, especially as a photographer.
